What an important time to encourage a love of learning and exploration. Our little seedlings are growing strong roots in many areas so a variety of learning centres are available daily in our preschool classroom to nurture those roots and overall growth. Each child develops their problem solving/decision making by having the choice to practice different skills through play and academic activities such as science, sensory (learning to predict and problem solve), creative arts (developing colour recognition and fine motor skills), mathematics (learning shapes, sizes, spatial relations), language and literacy (letter recognition, pre-reading) and dramatic play.
Our planned activities are posted weekly and based on children’s interests and age appropriate areas of development. Individual and group activities continue to build on social and self-help skills in addition to academics and play based learning. Extra activities are offered such as music class and computers in the classroom.
Hot lunches, two snacks and sleep/rest time are offered daily.
The Preschoolers also have the opportunity for two outdoor play periods daily to ensure their physical development and to take advantage of that very beneficial fresh air and sunshine.
We wanted to thank you so much for the amazing care you’ve given Jackson. He is our little miracle and I was so worried about leaving him in daycare…you made the transition seamless. I can’t tell you how reassuring it was to know that you were watching over him. He loves you and so do we. There’s nothing I could do to pay you back, but I hope you know how grateful we are to you!
