Child/staff ratio is 10:1 or 12:1 (dependent on children’s ages)

Our kindergarten children are offered an enhanced child care curriculum which combines both play based learning (offering free choice/self-guided discovery of learning centres such as science/sensory, creative art, books and dramatic centre) as well as an academic oriented curriculum based partly on the Hooked on Phonics program.   For our 4 and 5 year olds learning, language and literacy are key to their development and thus are key components in our Seedlings “Roots of Learning” Curriculum.  Our weekly program plans implement activities that encourage children to develop writing, reading, and math skills, getting them ready for their journey on into their elementary school years.

French classes are offered twice a week. Children learn basic vocabulary (colours, numbers, shapes, days of the week, month of the year) simple phrases, songs and games.  Basic computer skills are learned and practiced on a weekly schedule and a music class is also offered once per week during the school year.

Our kindergarten children enjoy the outdoor playground with age appropriate play structure and activities provided twice per day.

Hot lunches, two snacks and sleep/rest time are offered daily.

Twice a year parents are provided with report cards that reflect their child’s developmental and academic updates and/or parent-teacher interviews to discuss each child’s development.
